Hi, I’m Abi Gant and I’m the Yard Manager here at Broads Equestrian Centre. Since I was a little girl I’ve always dreamed of having my own pony and now I have the best of both worlds, owning my own as well as working here where she lives.

I’ve been around horses since a young age growing up riding friends horses, having lessons at a Riding school then going on to help those who had naughty or young horses. I have over 18 years experience from backing and braking youngsters, helping to produce or bringing horses back into work, working on a busy yard, teaching others then eventually purchasing my own at the age of 16. This little mare taught me a lot about behaviours in horses, what feeds there are out there and what they do, to never give up and how to sit and stay in your saddle no matter what!

A goal of mine has always been to compete at affiliated level of Showjumping and after unforeseen circumstances with a youngster I was producing I found my mare Scarlette. They say a horse will come by in your life and they will become your horse of a life time, Scarlette is mine. She’s taken me from cross poles to puissance walls, landed me my first ever trophy, won our first ODE, took me to our first away BRC Championship and competes regularly at British Showjumping.
